The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be streamed live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the combatants met personally to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former twice unified boxing king Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth disparity - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Civil Exchange
Despite those words, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - normally known for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.
Paul's Background
Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's largest financial successes, consistently making huge earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and claimed he would derail the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul participated in the customary confrontation, with their size difference on show, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is really happening.
